Is George Weah American?

George Weah is not an American. He is a Liberian politician and former professional footballer.

George Weah was born on 1 October 1966 in Monrovia, Liberia. He is best known for his successful career as a professional footballer, during which he played for various clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain, AC Milan and Chelsea, among others. Weah is often regarded as one of the greatest African footballers of all time and was awarded the FIFA World Footballer of the Year in 1995.

In addition to his football career, George Weah has taken to politics. He was elected President of Liberia and took office on 22 January 2018, becoming the 25th President of the Republic of Liberia.
