Who owns Leicester City?
Leicester City Football Club is owned by the Srivaddhanaprabha family and the chairman and owner is Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha, commonly known as “Top”. Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha took over ownership following the tragic death of his father, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, in a helicopter crash outside the King Power Stadium in October 2018.
Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha was the founder of King Power International Group, a major duty-free retail company based in Thailand. Under the stewardship of the Srivaddhanaprabha family, Leicester City achieved one of the most extraordinary achievements in football history, winning the English Premier League in the 2015-2016 season, defying the odds and attracting worldwide attention.
The Srivaddhanaprabha family’s commitment to the club’s success and continued investment in Leicester City has played a key role in maintaining the team’s competitiveness in the Premier League.
